Bouncing Chess

Chess variant

Chess variant where the diagonally moving pieces (bishop and queen) can bounce off from the left and the right sides of the board, so that they can continue their path bent by 90 degrees.

Otherwise the rules of chess apply.

The upper and lower edges are normal walls like in chess. The other pieces (e.g. the knight) move in the usual way.

Null-moves that do not change the position are not allowed: the bishop and the queen cannot move back to its starting field (after several bounces).
